F&B: Voices from the Kitchen

F&B: Voices from the Kitchen is a multisensory storytelling experience created by La Cocina, which seeks to share the voices and stories from the cooks and kitchens that are less often heard. The project is an annual performance that revolves around (and includes) food and drink as a singular topic or theme. All proceeds support La Cocina’s business incubator program.

Week of Women in Food

Every March for the past three years, La Cocina — the Mission District’s women-, immigrant-, and POC-focused kitchen incubator — has held a week’s worth of prix fixe dinners that pair up-and-coming chefs currently enrolled in La Cocina’s program with an established Bay Area star chef.

This week of interactive, multi-course meals intersects with International Women's Day and is a celebration of the voices, talent and food of women chefs from across the Bay Area.

Annual Union Street Music Festival

Produced by Brad Lachman Productions, Emmy award-winning producers of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (1994-Present) and many other classic holiday & music specials. “A Hollywood Christmas Celebration at The Grove” is a one-hour holiday special featuring some of the biggest names in music, television, and motion pictures, along with thousands of Christmas lights, snow, and of course—Santa Claus! Past show performers have included: Robin Thicke, Cee Lo Green, Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole, Phillip Phillips, and Scotty McCreery. The 2015 show aired nationally in syndication beginning with a prime time special on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26th in Los Angeles. Thereafter the special aired in syndication across all Top 50 markets for six consecutive weeks, with a guaranteed 95+% national coverage, until it concluded its run on January 1, 2016.
