The Pershing Square Downtown Stage is a free, high-caliber entertainment destination that is one of the most popular music venues in Downtown Los Angeles. Downtown Stage is six weeks of free music, outdoor film, food trucks and retail vendors in July & August. Nearly 6,000 attendees each week come from a wide area of LA reaching from Altadena to Huntington Beach, Woodland Hills to Riverside, and West Hollywood to Downtown and East LA. Downtown Stage includes eight full bars, sponsor and vendor activations and showcases emerging and legacy artists that cross genres and generations.
SkyStar Observation Wheel in Golden Gate Park
An illuminated 150-foot wheel is among the attractions being planned for Golden Gate Park’s 150th anniversary in 2020. The wheel will provide riders with sweeping views from the ocean to downtown San Francisco.
The observation wheel will launch on April 4th, 2020 and operate through March 1st, 2021 in Golden Gate Park’s Music Concourse, the outdoor plaza near the de Young Museum, the California Academy of Sciences, and the Japanese Tea Garden. The wheel features 36 fully enclosed, climate-controlled gondolas that seat six passengers each.
25th Annual Northern California International Dragon Boat Festival
The California Dragon Boat Association (CDBA) is one of the most respected dragon boat organizations in the United States, with extensive adult, college and youth programs. With sites in San Francisco, Oakland, Los Gatos, Redwood City and Sacramento, the CDBA promotes strong, healthy communities with their programs and is a volunteer-led nonprofit with 1,000 members.
The Festival is the largest competitive dragon boat festival in the country, with over 125 teams participating. The CDBA is a free, family-friendly festival with a focus on health and wellness, cultural diversity and heritage and community building. The CDBA works to develop teamwork and leadership skills, confidence, focus and an appreciation of our environment in its team members.
